This is an original from the jar that has taken 3 years to come out! Rated the best Indian on then urbanspoon, we put it in the jar as we wanted a variety of cuisines! Elaine is an Indian fan, I however am not that into the flavours but maybe a highly rated restaurant might convert me! We were both excited for an original to leave the jar.

STARTERS

#3 – Vegetable Pakoras – Classic Indian finger food – spiced and frittered vegetables

We had no idea what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised! This entree was delicious! Served with two completely different dipping sauces, it wasn’t oily at all. We would both definitely get this again! YUM!

VEGETARIAN

#6 – Kadhai Paneer – Paneer chuncks, pan-fried with capsicum, tomatoes, onion & tempered with spices

We were confused for awhile as to why this ‘tofu’ tasted so delicious! Turns out it was because it wasn’t tofu it was paneer which is a type of cheese! That explains it! neither of us have tasted paneer before and we were big fans! Who doesn’t love cheese and it was so soft! Quite a spicy dish though and without any yoghurt to cool it down our mouths were on fire!

CHICKEN

#3 – Nimbu Dhaniya Mirch Ka Murgh – Boneless chicken cooked with handpicked spices, lemon, coriander & green chilli

Again we were pleasantly surprised with our rolled choices! This dish was super spicy without the yoghurt but mixed with the yoghurt it was delicious! A great flavour hit in your mouth.

Red Pepper doesn’t look like much from the outside but is very cute once you walk through the doors, the smells are amazing and the place is buzzing!

All the food was so fresh and not oily, the service was great, for a non-Indian eater it was a great experience and it may have converted me! We would both definitely go back!
